Camila Novis is admitted to the Bar Association OAB/RJ and has been working in the intellectual property area since 2016. Her experience focuses on the judicial sphere, assisting local and foreign clients in defending and protecting their rights in Brazil and abroad, through legal counseling by drafting opinions on possible infringements of their rights or the rights of third parties, developing judicial or extrajudicial strategies, with the drafting of cease and desist letters, negotiations with opposing parties, and reviewing settlement agreements and contracts involving trademarks, copyright, domain names, patents, industrial designs. She also has experience in administrative litigation of trademarks before the INPI (Brazilian Trademark Office), as well as in anti-counterfeiting, with direct action alongside retail marketplaces, as well as with the Federal Revenue Service and Civil Police.
Camila is also the Deputy Reporter of the Study Committees of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), assisting in coordinating the academic work developed within the association, whether for holding academic events and conferences or for responding to inquiries requested by governmental entities on topics related to intellectual property. Camila is also a founding member and Director of Institutional Relations of the Association Brésil Assas (ABrA), an association aimed at fostering academic exchange between Brazil and France, especially among the network of students and alumni of the University of Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
Camila holds a law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro – PUC/RJ since 2018 and has completed a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro – PUC/RJ in 2020. Currently, she is pursuing an LL.M in International Business Law at the University of Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
