Camila Novis is an attorney-at-law admitted to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB/RJ) and has been practicing in the field of intellectual property since 2016. Her experience is primarily focused on litigation, assisting both domestic and international clients in defending and protecting their rights in Brazil and abroad. Her work includes legal advisory services for assessing potential infringements of her clients’ rights or those of third parties, developing litigation and alternative dispute resolution strategies, drafting cease-and-desist letters, conducting negotiations with opposing parties, and reviewing agreements and contracts related to trademarks, copyrights, domain names, industrial designs, and unfair competition.
Camila also has experience in administrative trademark litigation before the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (INPI) and in anti-counterfeiting enforcement, working directly with online retail marketplaces, the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, and the Civil Police.
She currently serves as Deputy Rapporteur of the Study Committees of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI), assisting in the coordination of the association’s academic work, including organizing academic events and conferences, as well as preparing reports in response to government inquiries on intellectual property matters. Additionally, she is a founding member of the Association Brésil Assas (ABrA), an organization dedicated to fostering academic exchange between Brazil and France, particularly among students and alumni of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris II).
Camila holds a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) (2018), a postgraduate degree in Intellectual Property Law from the same institution (2020), and an LL.M in International Business Law from Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) (2024), having graduated with honors (cum laude).
